How do I know which acoustic solution will suit me best?

Once the need for acoustical performance has been determined, and it is generally speaking good to seek advice from an acoustic engineer, it will most of the time shake down to design intent vs cost. As a rule of thumb, the bigger design intent – the larger cost. Once you have rejected the directly inappropriate solutions, there will generally be several different solutions to choose from, so ultimately this will largely be a matter of preference and taste. But there are good reasons to contact the suppliers of the different systems and ask for advice before making the final decision.
